TCT (Transpiration Control Technology)

TCT – (Transpiration Control Technology) Our products come stored in TCT bags. These are heat sealed aluminized bags that create a watertight environment to reduce the amount of water loss from the product.

• Transpiration is the loss of water through the walls of the bottle that will increase the concentration of the analytes present over time. This process will continue until the bottle reaches equilibrium with its environment; outside of the bag, the environment is Earth’s atmosphere so transpiration will continue indefinitely, as it will never reach equilibrium.
• The TCT bag allows equilibrium to be met quickly by creating a micro-atmosphere around the product. This mitigates water loss and concentration disruption.
