Standard Additions
Standard Additions – A rather manual method used for quantitative analysis, most often used for particularly difficult to test due to complex matrices which may disrupt instrument signal.
- This analysis is conducted by spiking known amounts of analyte of interest to the sample, measuring analyte response on instrument for the series of spiked samples, and plotting the results as a line so that initial analyte concentration can be extrapolated.
