Shelf-life

Shelf-life – the amount of time a product can remain in storage while maintaining its scientific integrity (meaning no stability, transpiration, or storage effects are degrading the product).

• IV’s products have two ‘shelf lives’: while in the sealed TCT bag, the Lot Expiration Date is 5 years for the majority of our products. Once removed from the sealed bag, the Period of Validity is one year from the date of open (6 months for 30mL bottles), or until the Lot Expiration Date, whichever comes first. This period of validity is due to the effects of transpiration on the certified values of the product.
