Gravimetric

Gravimetric – measurement by weight. A highly accurate method of measuring concentrates and reagents for use in preparing analytical standards and samples. Conducted on a certified and calibrated balance of appropriate measurement specificity for the desired aliquot size (at IV, a 4 decimal place balance is used for quantities under 30 grams, a 2 decimal place balance for quantities over 30 grams). Gravimetric preparation can refer to weight to weight (µg/g).
