Titrant
Titrant – a reagent of known concentration that is added to another solution during a titration to determine the concentration of the solution it is being added to. Often used with an indicator dye, which will change colors when the titration is complete, to allow for measuring the amount of titrant that is required to completely react with the second solution – this information is then used to calculate concentration.
