Stability Program

Stability Program – A repetitive testing regime designed to analyze and determine the stability of a solution over time and determine usage period.

  • Solutions of interest should be repeatedly tested at set intervals over a pre-determined period – typically the length of time the solution is intended to be used. Repeat testing allows analysts to ensure that certified values are remaining constant; drifting analyte concentration indicates that stability threshold has been crossed and the solution’s expiry should be set before this point.
  • While IV has a stability program in house to determine lot expiration dates for products our customers may develop their own stability program to determine the shelf life of their working solutions.
