General Spectroscopy - Bromine standards for ICP analyses

n our laboratory, we need to determine bromine content, ideally by both ICP-MS and ICP-OES for solutions containing different matrices. While I see that your advice pages discuss Br ICP (https://www.inorganicventures.com/advice/analyzing-bromine-icp) I cannot find any ICP standard listed in your catalogue, or online. If Inorganic Ventures do not make this product, I would really appreciate any advice as to where I may be able to obtain the standard. Any help you could provide would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

Could you please provide more information regarding the matrices of your sample solutions and the expected chemical form of Br? If they are aqueous and the measurement technique is ICP, then it’s possible that the stock product CGICBR1 (1000 ug/mL bromide from NH4Br) would be suitable. To an ICP the chemical form in solution is essentially irrelevant, and as elemental bromine is difficult to work with commercially available Br ICP standards tend to be offered as bromide or bromate.
