How do you verify an ICP measurement ?
I constructed a 3 point calibration curve using 40, 100 and 1000ppm Ca standards where the RSD's were >0.999+. Not knowing how much Ca the test sample contained, I made 3 dilutions in triplicate which where approx. x50, x200 and x400 dilutions. The average ICP results for the triplicates for each dilution were ICP = 392 mg/l x dilution factor of 50 = 19832 mg/l ICP = 125 mg/l x dilution factor of 200 = 25217 mg/l ICP = 65 mg/l x dilution factor of 400 = 26093 mg/l The ICP results for all dilutions fell within the calibration curve. However which result should I take as being representative of the actual concentration of Ca present in the sample and how would I verify this? Thanks

Photometry and spectroscopy using IRAF and Pyraf
I have some large amount of fits files which I have to reduce(bias, flat, dark, and removal of cosmics) and then do photometry(both aperture and psf) and spectroscopy (https://docsbay.net/introduction-to-spectroscopy-and-applications). I know all the stuff of how to use iraf and do photometry and spectroscopy. I want to write some script in python which can automate the stuff to a reasonable extent. Can anyone suggest me some website or way how to write some script (in python) using iraf tasks like daophot , apall, apphot, imexam etc. so that I can do my work relatively faster.

How is IV dealing with delayed supply of NIST SRM 3144

We have been attempting to purchase NIST SRM 3144 to support Rh analysis for the past few months. Finally, NIST have provided a response to say that this will be out of stock, most likely until Feb 2020. How is IV managing with the lack of SRM availability?

ICP standards with AAS methods
Are ICP standards used in AAS (atomic absorption spectroscopy)? In particular, can these stock products be used in AAS: CGBA1, CGCD1, CGCR1, CGCU1 ,CGNI1, CGPB1, CGZN1, CGAL1, CGFE1, and CGP1?
