General Spectroscopy - Carbon and chloride standards for food analyses
I was wondering if you have ICP-MS standards available for 13C or 37Cl. I'm doing food analysis and need to monitor these isotopes in each sample to see if it's interfering.

If you are referring to isotopically enriched carbon or chloride products, we do not currently carry such standards as part of our ICP-MS isotope product line. The National Isotope Development Center at Oak Ridge does carry a sodium chloride product that is enriched for37Cl. However, enriched isotope standards are typically used for isotope dilution measurements, and if your application is solely to determine interferences from C and Cl species, then the products we offer are isotopically ‘normal’ (e.g., 13C abundance of 1.10% and 37Cl abundance of 24.23%), and we would recommend our stock CGC1 and CGICCL1 products (1000 ug/mL C and Cl, respectively). |
