Sample Preparation - Preparation of liver tissue for iron (Fe) analyses
I have a question. I want to evaluate iron by ICP-OES in liver tissue of mynah (bird), but I don't know if freeze-drying is essential for analysis or if we can measure iron in wet tissue?
Please help if possible, and thanks a lot.

We’re assuming that your ICP-OES requires liquid samples, and if you wish to measure total iron in tissue then you will need a sample preparation technique that can suitably decompose and solubilize the samples. Different approaches include acid digestion, ashing techniques, or a combination of the two. We can provide detailed information depending upon the capabilities available in your lab. |
