Measurement and Results - RBS-25 as ICP cleaning solution

I attended the ICP seminar last week, an overall excellent experience and learning tool. I do have one question, which reflects my poor note taking, and it is about rinse solutions for ICP-OES daily clean-up. We are a soil testing facility, and I currently rinse with a 5% Ammonium Hydroxide and DI water. It was mentioned that 2.5% RBS-25 was preferred followed by DI water for 5 minutes. 1. Is that a 2.5% of a prepared 25% RBS-25 solution which I use for cleaning? Or just 2.5% of the RBS-25? 2. Do you have a reference paper that can be shared?

You are correct.  Aspirate a 2.5% solution of RBS-25 for 5 minutes followed by DI water for at least 5 minutes (perhaps up to 10 minutes).  You will know the RBS has rinsed out of the system by monitoring the Phosphorus, Potassium, and Sodium lines.  If properly maintained, the signal for all three elements should return to baseline.  Then you can proceed to your next analysis, or shut your instrument down for the night.  The 25% RBS-25 solution is for overnight soaking or general cleaning of ICP glassware and plasticware.
