General Spectroscopy - Using ICP standards for AA

Please let me know if we can use a 1000 ppm chromium ICP standard (e.g., CGCR(3)1) for atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS)?

Yes, the CGCR(3)1 product is suitable for use in AAS analysis (as are almost all ICP standards). Please be aware that for AA measurements of chromium, the samples and standards should have the same Cr oxidation state. Regarding other elements, the only concerns may be if the ICP standard uses a complexing ligand, such as fluoride, to stabilize some elements, as some complexes can adversely affect AA results.
