Chemical Stability and Compatibility - Storage temperatures for standards

In Section 7.1 of your Certificates of Analysis (Storage and Handling Recommendations) you state "After opening the sealed TCT bag, store and use 20° ± 4° C.". Must we adhere to that temperature, and if so what is the reason?

20C +/- 4C represents normal laboratory temperature, which is the primary reason it is listed on the COA. Since the rate of transpiration increases as temperature increases, if the product is stored at temperatures higher than recommended on the COA, then the increased transpiration rate will cause the product to be outside the given uncertainty before the one year usage period ends. Products can be stored at temperatures lower than the range presented on the COA. The rate of transpiration is slowed when stored at lower temperatures. The product should be allowed to reach room temperature and be shaken thoroughly prior to use if the user chooses cool storage.
