Measurement and Results - Products for EPA Method 200.7

Good afternoon. Section 7.10.3 of EPA 200.7 specifies preparing the LFB at less than or equal to 0.1 mg/L for Ag, greater than or equal to 5.0 mg/L for K, and 0.2 mg/L for other elements. Section 9.4.2 specifies that LFM (matrix spikes) also contain these amounts of elements. Do you offer a standard that could be used to meet these criteria? I'm using IV-28 to calibrate, but it contains the same amount of Ag as other elements. We do not run Si, Li, or Ti. Basically, I think we could use IV-28, but with the concentration of Ag cut in half. Do you have any suggestions for products to use or any idea how other labs are approaching this? Thanks!

There are several stock products that may meet your criteria; WW-IPC-1,WW-IPC-3, WW-LFS-1, QCP-QCS-1, IV-STOCK-50, and CLP-AES-CRQL. Our website can provide exact details of their compositions, but generally they all possess relatively high K/Ag ratios with varying amounts of most, if not all, of the 200.7 elements. As for how other labs may be approaching these 200.7 requirements, we’ve not received detailed information directly related to your specific question.
