Sample Preparation - Digestion method for molybdenum carbide
My sample contains platinum on Mo2C. I need to quantify both Pt and Mo. Could you please let me know what solution can I use to dissolve Mo2C?

We recommend the following method: zirconium crucibles and covers; 0.25 g of ground sample; 3.0 g of sodium peroxide flux; 3.5 minutes of heating at 600°C (longer is OK); 4.0 minutes of cooling; dissolution in a HCl/HNO3 solution.
