Sample Preparation - Analyzing wax for total mercury by CVAF
I need to analyze wax for total mercury by CVAF (cold vapor atomic fluorescence). What would be the best digestion method, particularly considering that we don't have a microwave system?

We would like to suggest the nitric/perchloric acid digestion method for this application. It is an excellent method for difficult to decompose samples of elements that are easily lost during ashing preparations. In addition the DL of CVAF allows for small samples to be digested and still attain the required DL capability.
