ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Responsible for the supervision and management of the daily operations/ activities of the Accounting Department. Directs and coordinates the work of accounting assistants in all aspects of accounting to include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and fixed assets.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education/Skills/Experience:

Required -

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of three years' experience working at the Accounting Manager level
Comprehensive and thorough working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated supervisory experience and the ability to lead and direct the work of others
Excellent work ethic with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information and/or data
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Keen attention to detail
Excellent customer service, telephone etiquette and communications skills
Good data entry and proofreading skills
PC proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of automated sales/inventory systems

Preferred -

Advanced education in Accounting, Business or related field
Knowledge of MAS 200
